We believe that the Bible is the infallible and inspired Holy Word of God. It was written by men fully inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21). It is given to us for instruction as 2 Timothy 3:16 tells us that “all Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” (Psalms 119: 11,89,105,140; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 22:29; Luke 21:33; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:25; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
We believe in the one true and living God who is revealed to us in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of everything, Redeemer of all people, Sustainer of all life, and Ruler over all things. (Genesis 1:1; 2:7; Deuteronomy 6:4; Jeremiah 10:10; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:6)
We believe as Peter states in Matthew 16:16 that Jesus is, “the Christ, the Son of the Living God.” We believe He came to earth and was born of a virgin. He lived a perfect and sinless life, died on the cross and then rose from the dead in order to provide forgiveness of sins for all who believe. He then ascended back to Heaven and awaits His return in the clouds at the rapture of the Church. (Matthew 1:21; Luke 22:70; John 1:1,14; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18; Hebrews 13:8; 1 Peter 2:22-24)
We believe that all people are born sinners in need of a Savior as stated in Romans 3:23, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Salvation is given to overcome the penalty of sin and is a free gift from God to any who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (John 3:16,36; 5:28-29; Acts 2:21; 4:12; 16:30-31; Romans 3:23-25; 5:8-10; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9-10,13; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 John 1:8-10).
We believe in the Church as the collective Body of Christ which is composed of all who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We also believe in the importance of the local New Testament church in order to tell the world about the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and help believers grow in their daily walk with Christ. (Matthew 16:15-19; Acts 14:27; 20:28; Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:19-22; 5:22-32; Colossians 1:18; Hebrews 10:24-25; Revelation 2-3)
We believe God has instituted marriage as a union to faithfully exist as a covenant only between one biological man and one biological woman for life. We also believe human sexuality is to be expressed only in the context of this definition of marriage. (Genesis 1:27-28; Genesis 2:24; Exodus 20:14; Ecclesiastes 9:9; Matthew 5:27-28; 19:4-9; Mark 10:5-9; Romans 1:26-32; Ephesians 5:22-33; Colossians 3:18-19; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Colossians 3:5; Hebrews 13:4; 1 Peter 3:1-7)
Sanctity of Life
We believe that all people are created in the image of God and that human life begins at the moment of conception. In light of that, we do not accept the termination of any unborn human life. (Genesis 1:26-27; Exodus 20:13; Psalm 139:13-16; Isaiah 49:1,5; Jeremiah 1:4-5)
